Connect to Your Industry

We are seeking an Analyst/Assistant Manager, ideally with experience in Change Management & Communications and/or in Portfolio & Project Management, to join our UK Transformation Portfolio Office (TPO) team within the Executive Group (reporting into MP for Transformation, Stephen Spurway). Joining the TPO will extend your internal network and allow you to contribute to shaping and driving outcomes across our internal transformation portfolio, working closely with UK Enabling Functions and Business leaders as well as a wide range of stakeholders across the UK firm. The nature of the work is both cyclical (providing the opportunity to deeply embed knowledge) and dynamic (allowing agile, strategic and problem‑based thinking). You will welcome the opportunity of developing your skills and experience in enterprise‑wide transformation and commit to at least a 6‑month journey with us, 4 to 5 days per week. Location is flexible per firm policy: the team tends to meet once or twice a week in the London office; the remainder of the time is hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

* Supporting the team in managing and tracking its progress across day‑to‑day activities and planning upcoming work
* Driving adoption and upskilling on best‑practice Change Management and/or Portfolio/Project Management across UK Transformation project teams, leveraging existing knowledge resources
* Acting as delivery‑assurance partner to project teams: analysing, challenging and facilitating seamless visibility between project teams and leadership on investment business cases, project delivery progress, financials tracking, benefits realisation and change‑management interventions and effectiveness
* Co‑developing materials for periodic executive‑level updates, transformation events, leadership meetings, partner updates and people webinars
* Understanding change impact of initiatives and supporting project teams in planning and execution of change‑management activities, including adoption
* Reviewing/developing team communication as well as project communication to communicate compelling change stories that link with the wider transformation agenda and firm strategy
* Adopting a continuous improvement approach and proactively identifying ways for the TPO and project teams to evolve ways of working for successful project and change delivery

Essentials

* Ability to work collaboratively, build strong networks and rapidly build trusting relationships with senior stakeholders
* Strong interpersonal skills, managing expectations of a wide range of stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) to convey complex information clearly
* Attention to detail and focus on quality delivery across a highly varied portfolio
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
* Continuous improvement mindset, adaptable to a changing portfolio each financial year
* Agility; ability to respond to changing requirements and prioritise effectively
* Good understanding of our firm – culture, structure, ways of working and the market we operate in

Desirables

* Experience in portfolio, programme and project management with an understanding of associated concepts, frameworks and methodologies
* Knowledge of change‑management principles and techniques
* Understanding of how to manage benefits for projects and provide assurance on ROI

Personal Independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your “Immediate Family Members” are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds, etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients while being employed by the firm). The recruitment team will provide further detail as you progress through the recruitment process or you can contact the Independence team upon request.

Our Hybrid Working Policy

You’ll be based in one of our UK offices with hybrid working. We support you to work flexibly through our hybrid working policy. You’ll have the opportunity to work in your local office, virtual collaboration spaces, client sites and remotely, meeting face to face when needed while collaborating and learning from colleagues, sharing experiences and building relationships that fuel your career and prioritise your wellbeing.
