Job Description

This is an exciting role in the Hazardous Waste team to provide leadership ensuring the regime is sustainably resourced, meets all aspects reviewed through internal audit, and remains fit for the future.
The role duties and responsibilities include:
1. Forming a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including options for improvements.
2. Taking forward recommendations from this review, which may include:
* Assessing distribution of monies
* Evaluating KPIs
* Conceiving and delivering different ways of working
Other responsibilities may include:
* Implementing recommendations from internal delivery audits
* Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation
* Driving Area Hazardous Waste activity and increasing visibility
The team
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing team within the Regime Regulation team of E&B Waste & Resources Regulation. We lead the business on hazardous waste, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure hazardous waste is correctly managed. We promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture where everyone feels valued. We use evidence, expertise, engagement, and innovation to support delivery, influence policy, legislation, and secure resources.
