Job Title: Client Accountant
Location: Sunderland (hybrid)
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000
Overview
Service Care Solutions is delighted to work with a rapidly growing accountancy practice that is looking for an experienced Client Accountant to join their team. The role offers flexible hours and hybrid working, supporting a healthy work‑life balance.
Responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio of clients, keeping all financial records up to date and compliant with accounting standards.
* Preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports.
* Conducting regular financial assessments and providing advice to clients regarding tax planning, financial strategies, and business growth opportunities.
* Developing and implementing financial plans and budgets based on client needs.
* Assisting with statutory financial accounts production for a variety of different clients.
* Acting as first point of call for clients, answering any queries and concerns as they arise.
* Assisting management of junior staff members.
Skills and Qualifications
* ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT, or QBE qualification.
* Minimum five years experience within a UK‑based accountancy practice.
* Experience with Sage and TaxCalc.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
