Your day-to day-duties will include: Serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications on behalf of the Master of Downing College. Providing a high level of executive and administrative support to the Master in a largely independent and self-managed capacity. Preparing and drafting briefings, biographies, letters, notes, agendas and minutes for key meetings. Supporting the implementation of the College's strategy, building relationships across the College and diplomatically dealing with people at all levels both in College and externally. Working as part of the College Office, supporting cross-College functions. To be considered for this interesting role, you will need to have: Extensive experience providing executive level support, ideally within higher education. Strong communication, organisation and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work to deadlines under time pressure, to work without supervision, and to be proactive. Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and collaboratively with other departments. Have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications. Educated to at least A Level standard, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 5-9 or equivalent, including English and Mathematics. Details of the role The post of Executive Assistant to the Master is a permanent, part-time role. Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates. Hours of work are to be worked Monday to Friday (although there is a degree of flexibility) with a daily unpaid 30-minute lunch break.
