Join Our Team as a Bookkeeper
Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover, ideally starting in January

Location - Andover (fully onsite)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to manage daily financial administration and contribute to a dynamic environment. What You'll Do:
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all financial tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Your responsibilities will include:

Daily Tasks:

Provide general assistance to the Managing Director.
Enter daily takings from all sites into the accounting system.
Bank takings from the previous day and ensure proper reconciliation of all tills.
Input supplier invoices into the accounting system.
Receive deliveries and manage stock using our Genesis Epos system.
Monitor the bank account daily, keeping the accounting system up to date and flagging any discrepancies.
Handle general admin tasks, including filing and answering phones.
Open and distribute daily post.
Assist buyers with administrative tasks.
Support wholesale account management and resolve any delivery or invoice queries.Weekly Tasks:

Process supplier payments via bank transfer, making necessary adjustments in the accounting system.
Communicate payment updates to suppliers each Friday.
Ensure office and store stationery supplies are well-maintained.Monthly Tasks:

Conduct bank reconciliations for all accounts, including PayPal.
Manage expenses and VAT analysis.
Prepare accounting spreadsheets and end-of-month reports.
Organise salary payments in collaboration with the Managing Director and Store Managers.
Liaise with the management accountant to ensure timely payment of PAYE, VAT, and Corporation Tax, as well as the processing of annual P11Ds. What We're Looking For:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
