We are looking for a highly motivated Account Executive to join our talented team to help scale our growing Advertising program. Account Executives partner with category team and other internal Amazon business stakeholders to drive advertiser success.
As an Account Executive you must be passionate about understanding the range of advertising products, business drivers for performance, etc. and act as a consultant to sellers/advertisers and enable them for success.
You will play a key role in the Ad Sales team for growing the business by being the subject matter expert & owner of advertising related initiatives for your category. You possess strong analytical ability, and will develop deep expertise in Amazon’s products and proprietary metrics to build winning campaigns and optimize performance to derive insights and meet our advertisers’ needs. You also thrive in ambiguous situations, with exemplary stakeholder management and communication skills, helping you work across global locations.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Build solid relationships with advertisers, displaying a dedication to delivering first‑class service and advertising solutions
* Flawlessly execute end‑to‑end campaigns, liaising with advertisers to align to advertiser priorities
* Effectively align spends for defined cadence (week / month/ quarter / sale event)
* Analyze campaign performance against key metrics to identify, recommend, and implement optimizations to increase efficiency, drive high renewal rate and meet advertisers KPIs
* Keep regular track of defect metrics (like high ACoS) and ensure a timely nudge to advertiser for course‑correction
* Monitor and communicate campaign progress to the advertiser through regular, in‑depth activity reports and insights, using this knowledge as a basis for future campaigns
* Track & own the Ad Revenue goals for the set of advertisers being managed and deploy different ad‑product strategies to exceed goals/cover for gap to goal in case needed
* Leverage our suite of rich data, targeting and product channels to collaborate with other teams in the development of tailored solutions that meet clients’ goals
* Co‑lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews with advertisers
* Drive operational excellence to ensure SLA adherence and client satisfaction
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of sales experience
* Bachelor’s degree
* MBA is preferred
* Experience in an analytical, results‑oriented environment with external customer interaction
Preferred Qualifications
* Proven ability to manage the business “by the numbers”. Must be metrics‑driven
* Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly
* Experience working with SME retailers is an advantage
* Experience with e-commerce, digital advertising, or media would be an advantage
* Deep understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India with prior interactions with sellers and distributors is desirable
* Experience selling nascent (embryonic/start‑up) products/services into new markets is desired
