The role
As a Risk Manager, you’ll lead risk and opportunity management across business winning and project delivery phases, working primarily on complex, multi‑disciplined programmes. You’ll establish, embed and maintain robust risk management arrangements that support effective planning, delivery and governance.
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with Project Managers, commercial and engineering teams, providing insight that helps balance risk, cost, schedule and opportunity. Your work will directly support successful delivery, strengthen governance and enhance decision‑making across the project lifecycle, while building your professional profile within a highly regarded project controls community.
1. Leading risk and opportunity management, including modelling, across bids and live projects
2. Developing and maintaining risk and opportunity management plans and governance arrangements
3. Establishing and managing risk and opportunity registers, ensuring mitigation actions are tracked
4. Coordinating regular risk reviews, producing reports and insights for senior stakeholders
5. Providing schedule and cost risk analysis, supporting informed decision‑making
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Risk Manager
6. Extensive experience in a specialist risk and opportunity management role
7. Proven ability to support Project Managers on complex, multi‑disciplined projects
8. Strong experience developing and embedding risk management processes and governance
9. Confidence presenting risk insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
10. Experience delivering quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis
Qualifications for the Risk Manager
11. Degree‑level qualification in engineering, project management, construction management, or a related discipline

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
