We are currently recruiting a skilled and reliable driver for a client’s road sweeping operations based in York.
This is a temporary role for 6 months, possibly longer, providing an excellent opportunity to further enhance your driving career. As a member of our client’s team, you will enjoy a supportive working environment where your contribution is valued.
We are offering a competitive pay rate.
Responsibilities:
1. Operating a Class 2 road sweeper vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
2. Carrying out scheduled road sweeping duties, across various locations within the York area.
3. Ensuring timely and efficient completion of assigned routes, adhering to designated schedules.
4. Conducting routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, to ensure its optimal performance.
5. Reporting any defects or issues promptly to the appropriate channels.
6. Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
7. Working in collaboration with team members, to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
8. Hold a valid Class 2 HGV/LGV Licence
9. Possess a valid CPC and Digi-card.
10. Previous experience operating a Class 2 road sweeper vehicle is highly desirable but not essential.
11. A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
12. Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
13. Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
14. Good time management skills and the ability to meet tight schedules.
You will require a suitable level of physical fitness to cope with the demands of the role, and have the ability to work in all weathers and the ability to start work early mornings.
