We are seeking aSenior Fabricatorbased inBanbridge to be part of our growing team. | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | Fabricate pipework sections as per engineer drawings to the highest standard and quality. Identify fabrication defects and take corrective action promptly. Operate all workshop machinery and tools safely and in accordance with company procedures. Prioritise workloads and assist supervisors in planning shop workflow. Provide technical guidance on pipe fit-up, material selection, and fabrication methods. Support continuous improvement and enhance turnaround times, quality and team performance. Mentor junior fabricators and pipefitters in correct fabrication techniques. Complete job cards & fabrication sheets Report drawing errors, clashes, or missing information to supervisors or engineers. Maintain a tidy, well-organised work area. | QUALIFICATIONS | Desirable NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding, Pipefitting, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent Forklift Licence CSCS card | EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE | Essential 5+ years experience in pipe fabrication using carbon steel & stainless steel Experience mentoring junior staff and supporting their technical development within a fabrication environment. Experience working in an offsite workshop environment Strong knowledge of carbon steel and stainless-steel properties, including heat behaviour, contamination risks, and appropriate handling/storage. Strong understanding of safe working practices when using fabrication tools and equipment Desirable Previous experience in a Senior or Lead Fabricator role. Strong background in manual pipe fitting Previous senior or lead-level responsibilities such as mentoring junior staff or overseeing workflow. Experience applying lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste | ABILITIES & SKILLS | Strong communication skills Reliable decision-making and the ability to handle complex tasks independently.
