Job Description
We are looking for a professional with strong technical capability across commercial combustion, heating, and general building services, with proven experience in both planned and reactive environments.
The role offers long-term stability on secure government contracts, structured working hours, and a predictable workload.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver commercial combustion, heating, and HVAC PPM, proactive work, and reactive maintenance within agreed timeframes.
2. Carry out general building services maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and fabric tasks.
3. Provide out-of-hours callout support in line with the client rota, ensuring timely issue resolution.
4. Undertake major and minor repair works to commercial and domestic gas and heating systems.
5. Complete new installations of heating and gas systems to relevant standards.
6. Diagnose and repair faults on plant and systems, including basic electrical fault-finding.
7. Maintain clean, organised, and compliant plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas.
8. Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded on all assigned tasks.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills & Experience Required
9. Significant experience in commercial gas, combustion, heating, and building services maintenance.
10. Strong background in PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding, servicing, and installation work.
11. Proven experience in Facilities Management or building services within commercial property settings.

Commercial Gas:
12. COCN1 or CODNC1
13. TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1
Domestic Gas:
14. CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1
Technical Certifications:
15. City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering
Registrations & Licenses:
16. Gas Safe Registered
17. IPAF / PASMA
18. Full UK Driving Licence
