About the Role ELE Advanced Technologies Ltd. is looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Engineer (CNC/Electrical Bias) to join our Maintenance Team. In this crucial role, you will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to support maintenance activities across the site, with a strong focus on CNC machinery, fault-finding and electrical diagnostics. You will be responsible for preventing and reacting to CNC machine breakdowns and ensuring the smooth flow of work within the maintenance department to meet the needs of the business. Key Responsibilities As a Maintenance Engineer, you will: Provide strong leadership, technical guidance and positive motivation across the maintenance function. Support Asset Care activities, ensuring weekly and monthly maintenance schedules are completed. Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and encourage colleagues to follow these standards. Prioritise machine breakdowns and planned maintenance activities in line with production needs. Work with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement proactive planned maintenance programmes. Assist in the development and delivery of training programmes to create a flexible, multi-skilled maintenance team. Maintain both reactive and planned maintenance activities, including support with budget control systems. Manage on-site contractors, ensuring strict adherence to RAMS, Permits to Work, inductions and company policies. Continually seek improvements in maintenance processes, exploring new technologies, tools and systems (including machine monitoring and CMMS). Support emergency callout requirements when needed. Undertake part-time or full-time project work as required. Support the planning and execution of CNC machinery moves. Carry out general facilities maintenance, including building and exterior upkeep. Complete any other reasonable tasks requested by the Maintenance Manager. Qualifications & Experience Fully trained and time-served Maintenance Engineer. Proven experience in a similar role within a multi-line manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of electro/mechanical equipment & CNC machine tools. Experience fault-finding on machinery, tooling and building systems. Confident diagnosing faults using diagrams, manuals and diagnostic systems. Skilled in CNC machine tool environments. Competent computer skills (MS Office & maintenance data systems). Experience with various voltages: 12/24/110/240/415v. Experience decommissioning & re-commissioning CNC machinery. Knowledge of general mechanical work, bearings, lubrication systems, hydraulics, strip-downs and rebuilds. Understanding of Siemens, FANUC, PLC systems and electrical drawings. Familiarity with milling, grinding, EDM and FHD operations. Strong people skills with experience leading or guiding others. Desirable Scissor Lift / IPAF certification.
