Employment Specialist – Connect to Work, Berkshire
Location: Hybrid, based in Berkshire. Flexible but travel within Berkshire is essential. All travel costs beyond the base will be covered.
Salary: £27,976.
Responsibilities
* Manage and support Customer Engagement throughout the Connect to Work journey, primarily at the start.
* Answer questions from customers and stakeholders via calls and emails.
* Assess eligibility against detailed programme requirements and maintain auditable records in the Case Management System.
* Coordinate the flow of information between the Connect to Work team and DWP daily.
* Book introductory meetings with assigned Employment Specialists (and partners) with care.
* Cultivate a welcoming first impression for service users.
* Track programme starts across each Local Authority and supply‑chain partner, sharing data as required.
* Maintain a ‘waiting list’ of eligible service users with clarity and care.
Other Responsibilities
* Support the team in coordinating and managing customer spend and tracking this across the team, actioning for Palladium staff with accurate, clear and time‑bound records.
* Coordinate and book community premises and process invoices.
* Serve as a central point for the team and Contract Manager, pulling together information across the geography.
* Coordinate a calendar of events to share with Employment Specialists and service users, showcasing Berkshire activities.
* Maintain customer records in line with data protection requirements, safeguarding participant information and accurately recording the journey.
* Assist the team in ensuring high levels of customer engagement or re‑engagement, maintaining records to reflect contact attempts.
Skills and Experience
Required
* Fluent English, spoken and written.
* Friendly and enthusiastic with a passion for working with people.
* Experience in a customer‑focused role or environment.
* Independence and professionalism to work autonomously.
* Detail‑oriented with strong organisational skills.
* Proficient use of IT software including Microsoft Office and Excel.
* A ‘can‑do’ and flexible attitude to work.

* Track record of performance and success in customer service, administrative or case‑management roles.
* Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, health conditions or other complex challenges.

Project Overview and Role
Connect to Work is a UK government‑funded initiative forming part of the Get Britain Working Strategy. It supports individuals with disabilities, health conditions or other complex challenges in securing and maintaining good, sustainable work. Delivery includes IPS (Individual Placement Support) and SEQF (Supported Employment) approaches, tailored to each individual. Local community support is key to engagement and delivery, and the contract works alongside partners, stakeholders and employers. Individuals may self‑refer or be referred by professionals.
Palladium is responsible for the Berkshire contract, working alongside key partners.
