THE ROLE:
The role involves providing day to day support to Solicitors and Fee Earners on a range of private family matters. The successful candidate will assist with cases involving divorce, financial remedies, private children matters and general family law applications. Responsibilities will include preparing and managing case files, drafting correspondence and court documents, liaising with clients, counsel, courts and external professionals and ensuring files are maintained in accordance with regulatory and procedural requirements. The role requires sensitivity, strong organisation skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload within a busy department.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' experience working as a Paralegal within a legal practice. Previous experience in family law is desirable but not essential, as full support and training will be provided for candidates seeking to retrain from another area of law. The candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, a good standard of legal drafting and a professional and empathetic approach to client care. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, manage deadlines and handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion is essential. A genuine interest in family law and a willingness to learn and develop within this area are key requirements.
