About The Role
The Project Lead in the Controllership function will play an integral role in driving change and transformation for the Global Balance Sheet Reconciliation Program, a multi-year program. The successful candidate will be experienced in the Controllership function, implementation of systems and process improvements, and excels in an environment of fast-paced change in a global matrixed organisation. The role will report into the overall Program Lead.
What You Will Be Doing
1. Manage a project delivery team to ensure project deliverables are met and review team deliverables for quality control
2. Work closely with the Project Manager to build detailed project plans and track progress through regular reporting
3. Ensure successful on-time and on-budget delivery of project activities
4. Identify issues early and escalate to the Program Lead
5. Partner with the Technology Project Lead to meet systems-related objectives, and provide design requirements for technology enhancements
6. Collaborate with local finance teams, IT, Global Process Owners, Financial Risk Management, Technical accounting and policy teams, project members, and SMEs
7. Drive discovery and design solutions for each Balance Sheet account phase, including reconciliation templates and processes
8. Contribute to presentations for Design Advisory Board and Steering Committee meetings
9. Work with Change Manager on change activities (e.g., training content)
10. Deliver training and hypercare support for each Balance Sheet account phase
What You Will Need
1. Qualified Accountant with at least 8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role
2. Experience in a global multinational company
3. Public accounting background with Big 4 audit experience preferred
4. Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, US GAAP experience preferred
5. Experience with ERP systems and Balance Sheet reconciliation tools
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills
7. Highly organized with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
8. Data analysis and summarization skills with attention to detail
9. Ability to influence and build consensus across organizational levels
10. Self-motivated, proactive, with a strong work ethic
11. Team-oriented mindset
