Job Title: Sr. Facility Maintenance Technician
Location: Lancaster, TX 75134
Duration: Temp to hire for 4 - 6 months
Working Hours: Mon-Fri: 8:00am - 4:30pm (to start)
Hourly Rate: $28/hour
Our client is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, replacing, and modifying all processing, packaging, and facility equipment with optimal quality and efficiency. The role includes supervisory responsibilities and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in planning repairs
* Demonstrate 100% functionality to complete work orders and log corrective maintenance issues
* Perform minimal electrical repairs and troubleshoot AC and DC motor controls, solid state motor controls, and test equipment
* Understand and support the company's objectives, including productivity, yields, food safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals
* Oversee or perform daily inspections, emergency repairs, routine adjustments, and follow preventive maintenance schedules
* Model professional conduct and adhere to company policies such as GMP compliance, attendance, punctuality, efficiency, productivity, and personal hygiene
* Support Process Improvement projects and participate in safety teams
* Serve as a resource to resolve mechanical issues
* Perform other duties as assigned
* Learn mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and emergency repair skills; identify and repair equipment issues; develop innovative solutions
* Use multimeter and other measuring instruments
* Read, write, and speak English proficiently
* Perform daily maintenance activities effectively during the shift
* Work effectively in a team, promote cooperation, analyze work requirements, and plan accordingly
* Understand schematics, drawings, and manuals to establish facts and draw conclusions
* Maintain strong organizational and communication skills
* Demonstrate math skills, including fractions, decimals, percentages, and metric system applications
* Familiarity with preventive and reliability-based maintenance
* Experience in the Food Processing Industry

* Assess mechanical and electrical problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively
* Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach for extended periods
* Lift up to 49 lbs.
* High School Diploma or GED
* Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
* Ability to follow directions and take ownership of tasks
