Overview
We are a small friendly, patient-focused GP practice committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to our local community. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable Receptionist/Administrator to join our team.
Duties
* Provide a welcoming and professional service to patients, visitors, and staff.
* Answer telephone calls and manage patient queries efficiently and courteously.
* Book, amend and cancel appointments using the practice system.
* Process repeat prescription requests and ensure accurate data entry.
* Register new patients and maintain accurate patient records.
* Handle confidential information in line with GDPR and practice policies.
* Provide general administrative support to the clinical and management team.
* Assist with correspondence, scanning, and filing as required.
Skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
* Attention to detail in following care plans and protocols.
* Basic understanding of medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about patient care and are looking to make a meaningful impact within the healthcare community.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
