Business Support Officer We have an exciting part time Business Support role in our Cared for Children and Care Leavers team based in Delamere House, Crewe, CW1 2JZ. The position is 0.5 (18.5 hours) per week, Monday - Wednesday working pattern. About the role: To provide administrative support to the Social Work Team enabling the most efficient use of their professional time and helping to develop a team identity including the provision of central communication links for public and other professional agencies. Word Processing provision; letters, legal documents and child related documentation Telephone communication and enable effective liaison Arrange & minute meetings Financial transactions & reconciliation Updating client/service users database Maintaining Filing Systems. About you: You will need to be able to work well under pressure and be able to deal with a high volume of calls from members of the public who may at times be distressed or anxious and experiencing family difficulties. You will also have regular contact with a range of education, health and social care professionals and so will need the ability to adapt your responses accordingly. The successful candidate will be someone who is a self-starter, an experienced minute taker, be confident in handling and protecting sensitive information, be able to adapt to change and have excellent organisational and communication skills, with a high capacity to deliver within defined deadlines Knowledge of word processing, document management and proven effective administrative and financial experience is essential. Working with systems such as Liquid Logic is desirable. You will need to have a flexible approach, be able to prioritise your workload and be a positive team player. This is a hybrid position when probationary period is successfully completed.
