We’re looking for
a full-time, permanent Transport Planner to assist in co-ordinating the central planning operation in order to achieve business objectives and the needs of the customer. Working Monday to Friday core hours between the hours of 6am - 6pm (with some flexibility – this is logistics after all).

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Ensure all administrative duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
2. To use and maintain all IT based systems in the effective delivery of their role including SAP & WTS.
3. Ensures that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required e.g. haulier comms, dealing with customer issues, internal stakeholders etc.
4. To ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken and KPI’s met
5. Make sure all financial costs are updated in the systems to ensure a smooth and seamless invoicing process and cost reporting to our customer.
6. To undertake any other reasonable task as required.
7. To always display the highest standards, lead by example approach.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
8. Previous experience within a transport / logistics organisation would be desirable
9. Planning experience would also be enssential
10. Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements
11. Effective Customer Service Skills
12. Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving.
13. Good geographical knowledge of the UK
