A well-established and weing school is seeking a dedicated Finance Administrator to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive educational environment while utilising your finance and administrative skills.
Your new role
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support the smooth running of the school’s financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Processing invoices, purchase orders and payments
2. Supporting budget monitoring and financial reporting
3. Maintaining accurate financial records and databases
4. Handling queries from staff, suppliers and parents
5. Providing general administrative support to the wider school office
The school ideally requires cover from 08:00 to 12:00, though alternative part‑time hours can be considered for the right candidate.
What you’ll need to succeed
6. Previous experience in finance administration, ideally within education or the public sector
7. Confident using finance software — Sage preferred, but experience with any finance system will be considered
8. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
9. Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a busy office team
11. A positive, professional approach and strongmunication skills
