Overview
A challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the pharmacy team at the RNOH. We are seeking a forward‑thinking and highly motivated Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician to be trained within the workplace and complete a two‑year apprenticeship training programme of underpinning knowledge and NVQ assessments.
Responsibilities
* Complete a two‑year apprenticeship programme delivering underpinning knowledge and NVQ assessments while working in the Pharmacy Department.
* Be trained within the workplace to develop as a Pharmacy Technician and work towards registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Develop in an environment focused on medicines optimisation and innovative pharmaceutical practice.
* Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills; work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic Pharmacy department.
Learning model
Blended learning: virtual learning one day per week for two years to complete the NVQ element, with workplace assessment over two years.
About RNOH
Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is a centre for neuro-musculoskeletal care with two sites, Stanmore and central London, recognised for diagnosis, treatment and research. The trust is implementing a new EPR system and patient portal.
Requirements / Qualifications
* High motivation for a career in pharmacy; strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to undertake a two-year apprenticeship leading to GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
