Job Title: Project Engineer
Our client, a leading local engineering company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for career growth and development.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop project plans and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
2. Source suppliers based on the bill of materials and engineering specifications, liaising with design engineers for alternatives when necessary.
3. Purchase equipment in compliance with budget and company procedures.
4. Distribute documentation and drawings to subcontractors, ensuring correct revisions for fabrication or assembly.
5. Visit subcontractors' premises to coordinate and review production processes.
6. Work with the design team to meet specifications and conduct quality checks prior to handover.
7. Ensure FAT tests and quality checks are performed, documented, and snags cleared before products leave for site.
8. Coordinate site preparation activities, including surveys, haulage, safety documentation, lifting, and client handover.
9. Prepare, schedule, and monitor projects, following document control procedures.
10. Communicate effectively with clients and project participants to interpret needs and present solutions.
11. Manage contracts, including producing responses to compensation events and notices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Engineering qualification and experience in a related discipline.
* Knowledge of SolidWorks / AutoCAD and project experience.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to travel across the UK.
