Description
The job itself
Applicants are required to work with a young person in their late teens who has a learning disability and functions at approximately a primary school age range.
The individual benefits most from a consistent, structured, and predictable environment. Sudden changes to routine can be unsettling, and they may require reassurance during periods of transition. The individual responds well to calm, patient support and works best in one-to-one settings with trusted adults, progressing at a pace appropriate to their needs.
Potential workers must have experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN). A consistent, patient, and encouraging approach is essential, particularly when supporting the individual in the community and developing independence skills.
