A printed flexible packaging manufacturer is looking for a Number 2 Printer to join its well-established team in Leeds. The company extrudes, prints, and converts packaging for both the food and non-food sectors. They are seeking an experienced leader to enhance their team.

Shifts:
12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am on a rota basis, Monday to Friday only.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Ensure high-quality printing that meets customer design and specifications.
2. Set up the print press according to order sheet specifications.
3. Remove and replace sleeves, change mandrills, anilox rollers, and doctor blades as required.
4. Enter job descriptions on the OCS screen.
5. Adjust machine tensions, ink, and plate pressures using smartGPS or manual controls.
6. Set into register, carry out mounting checks, and match colours with the Ink Technician.
7. Check ink viscosity, colour match, barcodes, and text accuracy.
8. Ensure all checks are signed off by the printer No 2 or authorized personnel.
9. Monitor ink control and set up AVT/Eltromat systems during run mode.
10. Maintain quality checks, handle defects, and produce traceability labels.
11. Complete order sheets and produce quality data sheets with signatures.
12. Use Radius software for job checking, reel consumption, and downtime recording.
Key Responsibilities
Adhere to health and safety standards, including risk assessments, PPE usage, and safe machine operation. Maintain hygiene and quality standards, and ensure compliance with company policies.
