Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Long-Term Position

Supply Desk is working alongside a welcoming and well-established primary school in Bushey to recruit a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting in February 2026.

About the Role
In this role, you will support pupils across the school day, working closely with teachers to help create a safe, engaging, and encouraging learning environment. Your support will be vital in helping children build confidence, independence, and key learning skills.
Key Duties Include:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Adapting resources to meet individual learning needs
Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and development
Helping maintain an organised, calm, and inclusive classroom
Sharing feedback with teachers on pupil progress and needs
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working with children (school-based or similar setting preferred)
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
Confident supporting behaviour and classroom routines
Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
