ASD Coordinator – Community Paediatrics

We are recruiting for an ASD Coordinator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
A part of this role will also be responsible for the ASD Diagnostic pathway for our current caseload and to support all aspects of this treatment pathway.
You should have a sound knowledge of medical terminology, be able to work without direct supervision, prioritise and manage workloads, and be computer literate.
You will be the first point of contact for service users, GPs, consultant colleagues, nursing, admin, and other hospital staff – including patients, relatives, and outside agencies – and provide professional and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the consultants and medical team.
The post is based at Danestrete.
Unfortunately, there is no onsite staff parking.

Main duties of the job
* The coordinator will be responsible for the admin and support of the ASD pathway and provide input and support in team duties. Cross‑cover is also required for the team where needed.
* You will have sufficient knowledge of Word and Excel, be able to manage short turnaround deadlines, and possess good presentation as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* The coordinator will be the first point of contact and communication for HCT staff, General Practitioners, consultant colleagues, nursing staff, administrative and other hospital staff, patients, relatives, and outside agencies in relation to the coordination of the ASD diagnostic clinks and waiting times.
* Help organise division‑specific clinics and liaise with outside agencies to achieve this.
* Maintain an accurate index of all patients’ notes held in the office area and forward these to the appropriate destination as soon as they are no longer required, ensuring information is correctly recorded on the Lorenzo system.

Qualifications/Training
* Educated to minimum GCSE level or equivalent at level C/6 and above – breakdown required
* Evidence of continuing development
* Previous medical secretary experience
* Evidence of Microsoft Excel proficiency
