Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for an admin officer based in Lisahally. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork, ANI clearance has been completed.
Duration: 51 weeks
Rate of pay: £12.59
Hours of work: Post is based on an 8am to 8pm working pattern Monday to Friday and a requirement to work every fourth Saturday 9am – 5pm. Jobholder will be required to work a variety of working patterns between 8am – 8pm. DWP business areas in Northern Ireland adhere to Great Britain Easter public holidays and the jobholder will be required to observe Easter Public Holidays of Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Key Responsibilities:
Working within the Department of Communities in the Northern Ireland Civil Service, this role will deliver services for vulnerable customers who are based in Great Britain and seeking assistance with Budgeting Loans. Full training will be provided. The role will primarily involve telephony and claims processing. Main duties and essential skills include, but are not limited to: effective call handling and excellent customer service skills; good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work within and contribute to a team environment; ability to work accurately within deadlines and achieve targets; basic IT skills / computer literacy with an aptitude for learning new systems; organized with good time management skills; excellent interpersonal skills; strong work ethic and desire for personal development; and excellent attendance and punctuality. These roles are full-time, office-based, with potential for future remote work.

Essential Criteria:
* Proof of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent.
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role.
* Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proven ability to use initiative.
