The Role:

Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
*
Supporting pupils with communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation
*
Using autism:specific strategies such as visual timetables, now/next boards and structured routines
*
Supporting inclusion within the classroom and during transitions
*
Working closely with class teachers, SENCO and external professionals
*
Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Proven experience supporting children with ASD in a school or specialist setting
*
Good understanding of autism:informed approaches and behaviour support strategies
*
Calm, patient and resilient with a nurturing approach
*
Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
*
SEN qualifications or additional autism training is desirable (but not essential)
