Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain hands‑on experience in education, mental health or child development? Are you considering a future career as a Psychologist, Counsellor, Therapist or Teacher? A welcoming Specialist School in Salisbury is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join their team ASAP and work as a Learning Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Autism, Speech and Language Needs, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Communication Needs.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
* Help students overcome emotional, behavioural and learning barriers.
* Apply psychological theory and behaviour strategies in the classroom.
* Create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.
* Work alongside Teachers, Therapists and SEN professionals.
Qualifications
The school are looking for a motivated graduate who is friendly, proactive and enthusiastic. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. You will need to have resilience and a positive can‑do attitude.
You will gain relevant safeguarding training and help support the schools fully‑integrated therapy programme.
Salisbury – Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm – £90 to £100 per day – ASAP Start – Long‑term / full‑time role.
