Centaura is conducting a search on behalf of a well-established, Bedfordshire-based organisation looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to strengthen and stabilise its internal technology environment.
This is a hands‑on role for an engineer who takes ownership, solves practical problems, and cares about leaving systems better than they found them. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver 2nd and 3rd line technical support across infrastructure, systems, and user environments
* Diagnose and resolve complex issues across devices, networks, and applications
* Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, endpoints, and core infrastructure
* Ensure system reliability and performance across the organisation
* Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers
* Identify and drive improvements to stability, security, and support processes
* Maintain clear technical documentation and support procedures
* Contribute to ongoing IT improvement and optimisation initiatives
Experience & Skills
* Solid background in IT infrastructure and technical support
* Experience in senior support, systems administration, or 2nd/3rd line roles
* Strong troubleshooting ability across devices, networks, and business applications
* Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and modern workplace environments
* Able to work independently and take genuine ownership
* Clear communicator, comfortable supporting non‑technical stakeholders
* Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly Azure
* Experience with scripting, automation, or system integration
* Background in operational, logistics, or field‑service environments
* Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, or equivalent)
