Job Description
This position is based within the main European Distribution Centre, shipping products to customers across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :
1. Manage day to day operations within the warehouse function
2. Manage the warehouse team by ongoing coaching and appraisal
3. Direct workloads across the team to ensure all work is prioritised and completed in a timely manner
4. Supervising picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch (UK & Export)
5. Supervising the preparation of necessary dispatch paperwork (UK & Export)
6. Understanding of Import and Export procedures to ensure correct paperwork is supplied with goods
7. Working with transport companies to ensure a smooth goods in and out processes
8. Working with Oracle order management system to release stock and generate necessary paperwork
9. Responsible for Inventory/stock control
10. Liaison with Customer Service and Sales teams to respond to queries and keep teams informed of progress
11. Customisation of shipments according to customer specific requirements, including the construction of custom-made retail packs
12. Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes that influence flexibility, reliability to the customers including new supply chain module
13. Drive and monitor Health & Safety process and policies throughout the warehouse environment
14. Drive 5S and good housekeeping within the warehouse function
Qualifications
15. Relevant warehousing experience of leading a team
16. Current forklift truck licence preferred
17. Computer Literate – must be confident using computer applications, however training will be given on in-house systems
18. Team player – must enjoy working in a team environment, with the ability to liaise with other members of the team to get a task done
19. Flexible - able to adapt to a constantly changing environment and willing to take on additional or alternative tasks as required
20. Initiative – can identify where improvements could be made, able to implement improved working practices
21. High attention to detail and accuracy
22. Experience of import and export shipping would be preferred
