Job Overview
TE Connectivity's CNC Machinists prepare detailed numerical control programs for use in production on numerical controlled machinery; they run the EDM, including programming, setup and operation. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
About the role
* Set up and operate CNC sliding head lathes, including installation and adjustment of collets, tooling, spindle liners, and bar feeders.
* Making necessary adjustments to programs where required.
* Ensure components meet specifications in accordance with engineering drawings and quality procedures.
* Record daily operations and contribute to operational equipment effectiveness (OEE) tracking.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean tools and methods from the TEOA site plan.
* Maintain and improve time standards and ensure daily maintenance is completed.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
* Support ad-hoc tasks and reasonable requests from the business within Production or related areas.
What your background should look like
* Minimum of 2 years of experience setting and operating.
* Proven experience with CNC sliding head lathes (Star, Citizen, etc).
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
* Proficient in using a range of measurement equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all TE policies and procedures, including EHS and safety-first practices, while delivering exceptional ECE.

* Demonstrate the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure exemplary work standards with minimal defects.
* Organized and self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.
