Your new role

This role will support the retained in-housepliance activities as well as support the business by ensuring that all the Payrollpliance services provided by the offshore team are fit for purpose and meet business requirements.
As a Shared Services expert, this role will act as a conduit between the business and the offshore team. This role will review the service levels provided and work to ensure the services are at the right level.
Supporting with escalations and designing new processes, this role will shape the service that is delivered to the business.
This role will drive manager education and engagement with processes across the function and will partner with the business to deliver initiatives and projects.

What are the main responsibilities?

You will be a subject-matter expert (SME) on all offshore and retainedpliance services supporting the delivery of any retainedpliance and Pensions Administration service activities, including but not limited to:
1. Oversight of overpayment recovery process, instruction to solicitors for further action, providing breakdown of overpayment calculations
2. Escalations from the Offshore team inplex cases
3. All Pensions-related administration
4. Overseeing Benefits and P11D processing
5. Reconciliation and resolution of historic PAYE schemes
6. Overseeing HMRC reconciliations and checking correct allocations of HMRC payments
7. Overseeing third party reconciliation and payment raising
8. Investigating any payroll datapliance failures and liaising with an offshore team to resolve
9. SAO-relatedpliance checking
10. Management of offshore payrolls, including payment arrangements
11. Overseeing and managing any audits from 3rd
Parties, instructing the offshore provider to collate documentation, but reviewing and signing off prior to release
12. Dealing with the distribution of any physical documentation, post etc.
13. Approving banking requests
14. Act as the point of contact for the offshore partner to support with escalations or queries
15. Audit the work of the offshore team and track performance
16. Act as a point of escalation for the offshore teams forpliance processes
17. Auditpliance-related data entry and ensure that offshore teams are sufficiently trained to correctly maintain this data
18. Provide training to both line managers and offshore teams as necessary on process documentation and procedures


What you'll need to succeed

You will hold a strong background in payroll processing and understandpliance disciplines, ideally working within a Shared Service or Outsourcing environment. Ideally, you will hold or be working towards a Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) Payroll Technician Certificate, and/or CIPP Certificate in Pensions Administration. You will also:
19. Stakeholder management skills
20. Experience of organising the activities of others or Line Management (preferred)
21. Strong ability in process review and re-engineering using LEAN methodology (preferred)
22. A self-starter with a drive to identify and implement process improvements
23. Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo
24. Excellent customer service focus
25. Very well-organised, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and varying and sometimes conflicting priorities
26. Experience of working with outsourced service provisions (preferred)
27. Ability to work well in a team and to work on my own initiative
28. Ability to manage the expectations of business stakeholders
29. Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
30. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
