Senior SAP Finance & EPM Director
We are seeking a senior SAP Finance & EPM Director to focus on business development, practice and asset build, and delivery of transformations enabled by SAP technology. This high-profile role requires a balance of business development, sales origination, practice build, and client delivery. This is a unique opportunity to shape the SAP business within a Big4.
Successful candidates will be expected to:
1. Drive origination and lead pre-sales activities (RFP responses, direct awards within our customers, etc.), engage directly with senior stakeholders (typically CFOs), and manage bid teams with limited support from SAP business partners.
2. Have commercial acumen to propose constructs for proposals and defend the rationale when reviewing with partners.
3. Enhance KPMG Powered Enterprise offerings, focusing on readily deployable assets, demos, accelerators with clear ROI, and a focus on automation, clean core, and AI.
4. Write external KPMG whitepapers and points of view.
5. Interact regularly with SAP to gain insights into future roadmaps, align joint target accounts, and drive the direction of KPMG’s offerings in this domain.
6. Attract, recruit, train, and retain top talent.
7. Serve as the senior Finance Architect for complex engagements with flagship accounts.
The Person
KPMG’s SAP business is on a rapid growth trajectory and is looking for candidates that are self-driven, have proven experience, and are excited about shaping the SAP business inside a Big4.
Successful candidates will be expected to have:
1. Deep experience selling and delivering in key SAP Finance and EPM solutions such as Budgeting, Forecasting, Group Reporting, Consolidation, Central Finance, PaPM, and Treasury.
2. A high-level understanding of SAP SAC, BPC, Datasphere, SAC, and other EPM tools is desirable.
3. Delivered 4+ end-to-end SAP programs as an end-to-end Finance Lead.
4. Delivered at least 2 end-to-end Central Finance programs as the overall lead.
5. Experience selling and delivering under a RISE contract from business development to implementation go-live.
6. Proven track record in leading complex bids including S/4HANA and other SAP and non-SAP technologies, with experience leading the bid end-to-end with limited support from senior stakeholders, including identifying SMEs, delivery teams, win themes, and crafting compelling proposals.
7. Experience maintaining a regular cadence with SAP to understand future roadmap directions and co-innovation opportunities.
8. Managed teams of onshore and offshore resources from individual engagement to overall practice perspective.
9. Understanding of SAP’s AI roadmap and experience creating assets, products, and solutions leveraging AI for customer benefit.
10. Built assets and accelerators deployed across multiple customers.
