Salary: £25,000 per annum (from the 1st of April, this will rise to £26,006,84)
Location: Cardiff and The Vale
Contract/Hours: 30 hours per week FTC until 31st March 2027.
Our service operates between 8.30am and 4:30pm and we run occasional out of hours group sessions for our young people who require after school appointments.

About The Service
Skills Plus+ is a psychosocial skill-building intervention for Care Experienced Young People (CEYP) aged between 14 and 24. We provide a therapeutic informed intervention through DBT and CBT methodology to improve the emotional and social well-being of our service users.
How You'll Help To Create Brighter Futures
Helping young people transition into happy and healthy adults
Mentoring hard to reach care experienced young people to develop life skills, friendships, improve wellbeing, confidence, self-esteem and feelings of belonging
Working in a holistic and person-centred way using DBT and CBT
Liaising with organisations and agencies such as Health, Education, Youth Service and Social Services
Responsible for managing your own complex caseload

Our job description for the Young Person's Practitioner outlines the requirements of the role but the must-haves' are:
Significant experience of working with children and young people through 1:1, mentoring and group work (delivered in person and via MS Teams)
An NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or demonstrable experience of working with children and young people
An awareness or knowledge of therapeutic interventions such as DBT and CBT
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
Driving licence is essential with access to car
