As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be required to deliver all aspects of care in a Nursing Home environment. As a company we fully support career progression and so for those looking to advance their skills and further develop, there will be plenty of opportunity for this.
Basic duties of the role include:
* Ensuring that resident's, personal and psychological needs are met on a daily basis.
* Fully supported by your team, you'll work closely with our residents, their families, friends & carers to provide safe, physical & emotional care.
* You will be passionate to empower & support residents to achieve even the smallest of life's activities through encouraging choice, independence & dignity.
* Assisting residents in all elements of daily life including personal care & bathing as well as general housekeeping in a residents own room.
* You'll be highly organised with excellent attention to detail & a willingness to learn.
* Supporting residents where required & promoting independence with mobility Inc. use of mobility aids & supportive lifting equipment.
* Helping to create a great dining experience by serving meals and drinks as well as assisting residents that are unable to support themselves at meal times.
* Undertaking any other duties as required in order to keep the nursing home running smoothly as delegated by, Nurses, trained nursing staff or the manager.
* As the Activities Coordinator for the Home, you will be expected to manage all activities, hobbies and interests of all the service users. To enhance the quality of their care.
You will need to be flexible and will work regular weekends as part of your shift pattern. You must participate in supervisions of practice and undertake annual personal development reviews.
Previous care experience desired, along with good communication skills as you will liaise with the nurse in charge, colleagues, residents, resident families and other stakeholders.
