About the role
Lecturer in Hairdressing with Redcar and Cleveland College will prepare and deliver practical and theory lessons that align with curriculum requirements, Awarding Body standards and meet the diverse needs of learners. The role requires supporting learners throughout their studies: helping them to overcome barriers to learning, develop new skills, set targets and monitor progress to ensure they achieve qualification outcomes.
Responsibilities
The lecturer will be responsible for delivering high‑quality hairdressing instruction, assessing learner progress, and maintaining accurate, professional records. The role involves fostering a positive learning environment, inspiring students, building relationships, and contributing to continuous improvement within the Service Industries department.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working in a hair salon environment.
* Strong IT and problem‑solving skills.
* High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism.
* Motivation, ability to inspire others and willingness to learn and develop.
* Teaching or assessment experience is desirable.
