A fulltime office based role with our client seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Accounts Payable Manager to join their team in Luton. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage the accounts payable function within a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will have the chance to make a significant impact on the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
What you'll do:
* Manage and oversee the entire accounts payable department
* Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines
* Provide monthly financial and management reports
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance
* Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information
* Assess, recommend and implement improvements to the accounts payable process
What you bring:
* Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or similar role
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
* Experience with data analysis and forecasting methods
* Proficiency in relevant accounting software
* Excellent organisational skills
* Strong leadership abilities
