We are looking for a Research Assistant to provide support for ongoing experiments in the Opazo Lab at the UK Dementia Research Institute using immunohistochemistry, confocal and two-photon microscopy, stereotaxic surgeries and AAV-mediated genetic manipulations. The opportunity To contribute to the aims of our research programme investigating synaptic repair mechanisms for Alzheimer’s disease using longitudinal in-vitro and in-vivo imaging microscopy. Your skills and attributes for success Undergraduate degree in Neuroscience or relevant subject area. Experience in stereotaxic surgeries, two-photon imaging microscopy and mouse colony management is desirable. Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills and demonstrated organisational ability. Self-reliance, motivation and high-level interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
