GSL Education are looking for a proactive and caring Secondary Classroom Support to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Eastleigh. This position is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and eager to gain experience in education—ideal for support staff or university students. You’ll play a key role in helping students stay engaged, feel confident, and make steady academic progress.

Key Responsibilities of the Secondary Classroom Support:
* Support students in mainstream lessons across various subjects, ensuring access to the curriculum.
* Deliver one-to-one and small group support to pupils who need additional help academically or emotionally.
* Assist the teacher in managing classroom activities, behaviour, and resources.
* Encourage student participation and engagement through positive reinforcement.
* Contribute to the development of learning strategies and personalised support plans.
* Observe and record students’ progress, reporting feedback to teaching staff and SENCOs.
* Uphold and promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and school policies.
Job Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and positive attitude.
* Flexible and responsive to the needs of both students and staff.
