People Systems Officer £32,000 – £35,000 | 12-month FTC | Hybrid (Bristol home) Recruiting on behalf of a charitable health & social care provider We are supporting a respected charity in Bristol to appoint a People Systems Officer to take ownership of two newly implemented people platforms: one for volunteer management and one for HR & Payroll. This role sits at the point where systems configuration, user support, testing and improvement come together. It isn’t HR administration, and it isn’t software development - it’s about helping the organisation get the most from the systems they’ve invested in. The Role As People Systems Officer, you’ll be responsible for: Configuring and maintaining the organisation’s volunteer & HR systems (Assemble & XCD) Setting up workflows, permissions, user journeys and basic automations Testing new features and coordinating fixes or improvements with system suppliers Supporting integrations with other platforms (CRM, LMS and internal tools) Providing guidance and support to staff, managers and system champions Creating user guidance, documentation and simple training materials Supporting rollouts, upgrades, and future project phases You’ll become the internal “go-to” for how these systems work day-to-day. Who This Suits This role would suit someone who has been: A system administrator / super-user for a people, volunteer, HR, CRM or case management system Comfortable adjusting settings, workflows, forms and permissions (not coding) Used to speaking with suppliers, logging issues and pushing for improvements Confident helping colleagues use systems correctly and consistently Experience with Assemble, XCD or Salesforce is helpful but not required. Experience with similar tools (BambooHR, iTrent, IRIS, Workday, volunteer platforms or CRM systems) is also relevant.
