Salary: Between £26,520 - £27,622.40 based on 40 hours per week, plus potential sleep-in allowance

Theres a young boy named Daniel living in Tredegar who needs your support.
Daniel is a bright and energetic young boy whos had a challenging start in life. He lives in one of our dedicated childrens homes, where he receives round-the-clock care and therapeutic support to help him grow and thrive. To support him we need you.
Daniel absolutely loves being outdoors. Whether hes racing around on his scooter, kicking a football in the park, or getting stuck into building something with his hands, hes happiest when hes active and exploring. His imagination and curiosity shine through when hes creating forts from cardboard, digging in the garden, or trying to figure out how things work.
Daniel would really benefit from a positive role modelsomeone who shares his love of movement and adventure, who can join him in fun, active play, and encourage his creativity. Whether its kicking a ball about, heading out on a little scootering adventure, or building a cool project together, you could make a real difference in his world.
Like any child whos faced difficult circumstances, Daniel can have challenging days and needs patience, consistency, and understanding. But your support, especially on those harder days, will mean the world to him. With the right encouragement, youll see Daniels confidence grow and his bright personality shine.
Daniel receives 24-hour support, which means youll have the opportunity to complete your full workweek in just 23 daysonly 10 shifts per month!

A day in the life of a Support Worker will involve:
* Supporting children to have the best quality of life possible. Whether it be through baking at home, fun days out, or holidays with them. You could be doing anything from making sure the children have a healthy diet to taking them to see The Big Pit!
* Ensuring our children are kept safe and their plans are suitable for their needs. Well need you to help monitor their development by keeping our systems and records up to date. Dont worry though, youll get all the training you need.
To be a successful Support Worker, youll need:
* Patience, compassion, and resilience The children youll support may have experienced trauma, which may have an impact on their behaviour.
* Great communication skills Both verbal and written communication is important in this role as youll be speaking to a lot of different people at different times and need to be able to update the childrens plans.
* A driving licence Our children love to be out in the community. We need you to be able to drive them to where they need to go. We have the cars, you just need the licence.
* To be flexible Youll need to be able to sleep at the home during your shifts. The children need support 24 hours a day. This does mean youll be able to work your full week in 2-3 days!
* If you dont already hold a qualification in residential childcare, we will pay for this. Its key that you have this within your first 2 years of working in the sector, but youll have our support along the way.
In return for your time, youll get:
* Holidays Youll get 33 days annual leave (264 Hours). Youll still need to work on bank holidays if the rota requires. Youll also get an extra day off for your birthday after your first year with us.
* Pension scheme Our pension scheme is based on you paying in 5%, and us adding 3%.

* DBS As this role required you to have an enhanced DBS carried out, we will cover this cost.
* Sleep-in Allowance-You have the potential to earn up to an additional £6,183 per year, based on completing 10 sleep-in shifts per month - but these are not guaranteed.
* After 12 months service -Youll be eligible for our Medicash scheme which covers a wide range of medical, health and wellbeing expenses (Including immediate access to a GP!). Youll get life assurance paid at 2 x your annual salary, and even more high street discounts.
