Ark Recruitment are thrilled to be supporting a well-established business within the events and venue solutions space looking to hire a Business Development Manager to drive growth across high-value corporate and enterprise clients.
This role focuses on selling venue booking and event solutions to organisations with significant event budgets, often exceeding £1m annually. It’s a consultative, relationship-led sales role with a strong emphasis on new business development and account growth.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new clients while building long-term partnerships with key decision-makers.
You’ll work with organisations planning large-scale events, conferences, and corporate experiences, offering tailored venue and event solutions to meet their needs.
This is a highly client-facing role, involving regular meetings, networking, and hosting your own events to build a strong pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive new business across corporate and enterprise accounts
* Sell venue booking solutions and broader event services
* Build relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
* Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
* Identify opportunities within high-spend accounts and develop long-term partnerships
* Host client events (lunches, networking sessions, hospitality) to generate new opportunities
* Represent the business at industry events and networking functions
* Maintain a strong pipeline and deliver against revenue targets
About You
We’re looking for a commercially driven, relationship-focused sales professional who is confident operating at a senior level.
You’ll bring:
* 5+ years’ experience in B2B sales, ideally within events, venues, hospitality, or agency environments
* Proven experience working with high-value clients and large event budgets (£1m+)
* Strong new business (“hunter”) mentality alongside excellent relationship-building skills
* Experience selling into corporate or enterprise organisations
* Confidence in face-to-face selling, networking, and hosting clients
* A polished, professional approach with strong communication skills
* A proactive and self-motivated mindset
