SUMMARY:
1. Full-time; temporary role starting in June/July 2024
2. 6 days a week contract, weekend availability
3. Live-In required with accommodation provided on site
4. Residence emergency phone duty
5. Reports to Residence Manager
6. Residence located in the heart of the City, less than a 15 minute walk from campus and the City Centre

OBJECTIVES:
7. To support the Residence Manager in running an efficient department
8. To ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction is delivered to students
9. To ensure Weekends are run smoothly and residence assistants are supported
10. To support students in their daily life and enable them to achieve the best experience and highest learning possible
11. To promote the best image of the school in the local community through contact with local suppliers, contractors, and others
12. To ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to
13. To ensure effective and efficient teamwork
14. To maintain EF policies, regulations, and criteria of accrediting bodies
RESPONSIBILITIES:
15. Live in EF residential accommodation and oversee comfort, safety, and conduct of students
16. To assist the Residence Manager ensuring Weekends are well planned and run smoothly with lots of energy and welcoming
17. To organize the work process / delegate duties between residential
18. To assist with Weekend reception duties overseeing arrivals and departures from residence accommodation
19. To prepare arrival & departure documents for residential assistants on duty at weekend
20. To ensure standards of rooms and quality of services are maintained by conducting weekly building checks, checking, and updating posters and signs when appropriate
21. To assist with curfew and ensuring under 18 students are in their rooms by assigned time
22. To assist students with general enquiries and take appropriate action in the event of student misconduct, addressing concerns with relevant school staff
23. To ensure student welcome packs are ready for each weekend’s new arrivals
24. To ensure Safeguarding procedures are in place and concerns are shared with relevant school staff
25. To follow EF procedures and take responsibility for fire safety in the event of alarms by receiving training in operating fire alarm system, familiarising self with evacuation procedures, and always acting appropriately in the event of a fire or alarm
26. To ensure communication between day and night staff during the Weekend is effective and followed up
27. To support security team when required
28. To assist with emergency phones when required ensuring teamwork
29. To attend regular staff meetings and adhere to the Residence Assistant Code of Conduct
30. Report issues or concerns promptly to the Residence Manage
