Hours Part-time: 16 hours per week (may include early mornings, evenings and weekend work as required) Salary £31,071 per annum (£13,082 pro-rata) Due to the continued success of our Learning and Development programme, and our ongoing commitment to investing in staff development, we are seeking an experienced Health and Social Care Trainer to join our team. This role will focus on designing and delivering high-quality training to ensure our teams are confident, competent, and consistently aligned with best practice and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Reporting to and supported by the Learning and Development Manager, you will: Deliver engaging induction and refresher training (including Safeguarding, Moving & Handling, First Aid, Medication, and Dementia Care) Conduct training needs analyses and design tailored learning programmes to meet organisational and individual requirements Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including the Care Certificate, CQC standards, and health & safety legislation Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records to support audits and inspections Assess staff competency in practice, providing constructive coaching and feedback Promote best practice and keep staff informed of legislative changes and sector developments Champion a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centred care Collaborate with Managers to identify skills gaps and improve training engagement across services About You We are looking for someone who has: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Health & Social Care training role A level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent) Proven experience delivering both induction and refresher training programmes Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills A passion for developing others and driving high standards of care What We Offer A salary of £31,071 per annum (£13,082 pro-rata) 28 days annual leave including bank holidays (rising with service) Staff reward and recognition incentives Excellent training, CPD and development opportunities Supportive career progression within a growing organisation Operational support so you always feel safe and valued Access to a free 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme and optional healthcare cash plan The opportunity to join the leading provider of learning disability services in Rugby as we celebrate our 75th year!
