Buisness Development Manager - Express Courier Services
Jump Lane Recruitment are working with one of the worlds leadingExpress Parcel and Freight Forwardingcompanies, they are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join their fantastic Express team in Colnbrook.

The Package:
Salary: Up to £50k
Generous commission structure
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
* Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
* Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
* Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
* Research and build relationships with new clients.
* Plan approaches and pitches.
* Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
* Participate in pricing the solution/service.
* Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
* Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
* Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
* Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs and develop revenue streams.
* Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs
* Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
* Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services and products
* Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
Key Skills:
* Be a business development professional with a track record of working in multi-faceted courier/logistics organisation. Knowledge and experience of express environment is essential.
* Have a good technical background
* Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships
* Have strong oral and written communication skills and a track record of winning business
* Experience of writing successful significant sized bids or tenders is desirable.
* Have excellent project planning skills and be competent in financial modeling to support bid activity.
* Have the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to targets and deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
* Be familiar with CRM databases and possess strong IT skills.
* Extensive Experience and Proven Track Record in a Similar Field Required.
