This is an incredible opportunity to lead Portal’s talented creative team as Creative Director. You’ll take on a unique and exciting role in a collaborative environment, ensuring you and the team deliver standout marketing campaigns, designs, and video content for a global client base. Immerse yourself in the toy and video games industry, working for leading publishers, developers and distributors behind award-winning titles and toys. You’ll play a vital role at Portal, working closely with the Managing Director to shape and drive the production of industry-leading creative.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate experience managing projects across digital design and video production, with a talent for creating standout original campaigns.
* Be a highly skilled designer, hands‑on with original creative projects, while confidently leading and mentoring the team.
* Be capable of turning briefs into high‑impact, insight‑driven concepts and productions that perform across every platform.
* Possess a strong ability to create storyboards and direct the production of video content and Motion Graphics.
* You won’t be intimidated by our high production standards; instead, you’re someone who can match and build on them.
* Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, leading, building and maintaining strong relationships.
* You’ll have expert knowledge of key design tools, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro and be confident in passing on your skills to support and upskill the Portal team when needed.
* You’ll have knowledge of creating performance‑based marketing assets.
* Be passionate about the toy and games industry. Being excited to craft brands, designs, videos and campaigns that resonate with our clients’ audiences.
* Be happy taking on hands‑on design projects while also jumping across teams to manage, motivate, and inspire.

* Performance Marketing Expertise – experience designing creative strategies for paid social, display and video campaigns across Meta, Tik, YouTube and programmatic platforms.
* Storytelling & Concept Development – skilled at crafting platform‑specific ideas that capture attention and drive engagement.
* Collaborative Approach – able to work cross‑functionally with performance, strategy, production and client teams to deliver cohesive campaigns.
* Client Communication – confident presenting ideas, articulating creative rationale, and managing feedback with professionalism.
* Design & Motion Fluency – solid understanding of the production process for video, motion and static content; able to brief, review and elevate visual work effectively.
* Organisation & Time Management – skilled at managing multiple projects while maintaining quality and detail.
* Innovation Mindset – proactive in exploring new tools, technologies and creative testing approaches to stay ahead of the curve.
