The purpose of this role is to support the business in protecting our ideas, designs and processing patents whilst enforcing patent rights against infringers.
The main responsibilities for this role:
* Provide advise on all aspects of IP, including patents, trade marks and design rights.
* Assess the company inventions for a Patent.
* Search existing Patents to determine if inventions are original.
* Write detailed descriptions of the invention .
* File and manage Patent applications with IPO and international Patent Office and respond to actions.
* Represent the business when Patent rights are infringed and represent the business in legal proceedings in Court.
The successful candidate must demonstrate extensive experience; have a STEM focus degree and be registered with the IP regulatory board; qualified as a registered patent attorney.
You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to express complex technical ideas clearly and concisely; good attention to detail; the ability to structure coherent arguments from a legal and commercial perspective; be self motivated and have a collaborative approach to work.
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: Up to £50,000.00 per year
