Digital Transformation Projects Officer (Fixed term)

Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) - fixed term contract or secondment until 31 December 2027
Location: Hybrid / Various Solihull Council locations
We are looking for a Digital Transformation Project Officer to play a key role in driving service improvement through digital innovation within Corporate Property Services (CPS) at Solihull Council.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how CPS works by analysing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality and customer experience through digitisation and smarter use of systems.
You will work closely with CPS teams, service delivery partners, IT colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure we maximise the benefits of our existing digital tools, while also developing robust business cases for new and emerging technologies.
As our digital subject matter expert, you will provide advice and guidance to managers, assess the feasibility and impact of proposed changes, and support the successful implementation and adoption of digital solutions that align with both current and future service objectives.
Responsibilities
* A relevant degree or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience
* Extensive experience of using digital technologies to improve processes and data quality
* Strong experience of reviewing and improving business processes with positive, measurable outcomes
* Experience of managing workstreams or projects, ensuring delivery against milestones and timescales
* High competence in Microsoft 365 applications
* The ability to analyse and interpret complex information and provide clear, evidence‑based recommendations
* Excellent relationship‑building skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
