Vickerstock are working in partnership with a rapidly growing fabrication business on the appointment of a Supply Chain Quality Engineer. Due to a very impressive amount of expansion, this is a newly-created position of vital importance, being a pivot between the procurement and quality teams. As the Supply Chain Quality Engineer, you will conduct supplier audits and evaluate supplier performance against quality metrics while developing and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers. In your new role: Ensure supplier compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality requirements. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure all quality activities are rigorously implemented and maintained. Monitor supplier performance, response times, and delivery to ensure production continuity and on-time delivery. Develop and implement supplier quality documentation and approval programmes. Review supplier manufacturing processes and work with suppliers on continuous improvement and value enhancement initiatives. Manage supplier corrective action reports and follow through to closure. Conduct inspections and testing to ensure product quality and identify defects. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to communicate quality outcomes and performance. What you will need to succeed: Minimum of 3 year's experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or in a relevant quality control role. Willingness and ability to travel for supplier visits. Strong knowledge of quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001. Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing methodologies.
