After an incredible 20 years our current Manager is due to retire, so an opportunity has become available for a Nursery Manager in our setting. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery, working closely with the Director and staff to support and develop the Nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a solid background in early childhood education. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while effectively managing staff and communicating with parents. *Responsibilities* * Lead, support, monitor and manage the nursery team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment as we continually improve quality and practice * Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including Ofsted, EYFS, SEND health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies * promote and support inclusive practice for children with SEND, working together with staff and external agencies * Maintain effective relationships with parents and carers regarding their children's progress and any concerns. * Oversee daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource management. * Plan, organise and lead a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that meets the developmental needs of all children. * Monitor staff performance and development through ongoing supervision, training and mentoring * Provide training and support for staff to enhance their skills in childcare and early childhood education. * Ensure accurate record keeping in line with regulatory and company policies *Experience* * Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery or childcare setting is essential. * Strong background in early childhood education with relevant qualifications preferred. * Experience working directly with children in a nurturing environment is crucial. * Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with staff, parents, and children. * Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a team. *Requirements* * Minimum NVQ/Cache Level 3 in Childcare * A minimum of 2 years experience working in a childcare setting within a Management or Supervisory role * At least 3 years experience working within a childcare setting * Strong knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted regulations and child development * Experience of supporting children with SEND and implementing inclusive practice * Excellent communication skills * Confident leader with the ability to mentor, motivate and support a team * A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare *Desirable* * Qualification in Leadership for Children and Young People's services or working towards * Current Paediatric First Aid * Designated Safeguarding Lead training * Experience liaising with Ofsted and managing inspections * A valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation purposes related to nursery activities. * We invite enthusiastic individuals who are committed to providing quality care and education for children to apply for this rewarding position as Nursery Manager.
